Factor judge Gary Barlow will miss tomorrow’s official launch, it has been confirmed.
The X Factor 2012 will kick off with a red carpet press launch at a London hotel this week, but Gary won’t be attending.
Understandably he wants to stay out of the limelight and spend more time with his family following the tragedy of stillborn daughter Poppy last week.
The 41-year-old received a standing ovation as he fulfilled his commitments at the Olympic closing ceremony on Sunday night, performing an emotional rendition of Rule The World with his Take That bandmates.
However a spokesperson confirmed that “personal circumstances” mean he won’t be attending tomorrow’s X Factor event.
A source added to The Sun: “Gary is in no fit state to do it as all his fans understand.”
On Monday Gary once again thanked his fans of their support over the past week.
He wrote on Twitter: “My gorgeous fans and followers, your kindness and support is immense, God bless you all.”
Tulisa, Louis Walsh and new judge Nicole Scherzinger will all be at tomorrow’s launch, as well as presenters Dermot O’Leary, Caroline Flack and Olly Murs.
There will even be a special performance from last year’s X Factor winners Little Mix.
