They looked on the brink of splitting up when he confessed to a string of affairs behind his wife's back in early 2010.
But two years later things couldn't be better for Mark Owen and his wife, as the pair are now reportedly expecting their third child together.
The happy news means the singer has completed a Take That hat trick, as his bandmates Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams have both announced they are also expectant fathers in the last few weeks.
Mark, 40, has reportedly been trying to keep the news quiet but he started to reveal all about the impending new addition when his wife Emma Ferguson's bump started to become noticeable.
The pretty blonde is reportedly now more than four months pregnant.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'He's over the moon. He was keeping it a secret for as long as possible so he could enjoy keeping the special news in the family.
'But now it's come to a point where it's time to share it with everyone.
The news follows Robbie Williams' announcement just a few days ago that his wife Ayda Field is expecting their first child, which is reportedly a girl.
And it was only a few weeks before in February that Gary Barlow revealed he is set to become a dad for the fourth time later this year.
The source added: 'The lads have had a right old giggle about the three of them having baby news about the same time.'
It marks a big come back for Owen, who was forced to admit he'd had at least 10 affairs behind 35-year-old Emma's back two years ago.
Mark, who already has a six-year-old son, Elwood, and four-year-old daughter Willow Rose with Emma, then underwent a stint in rehab to overcome his alcohol issues.
He said at the time when confessing his infidelity: 'I don't know how many girls there were in all. Maybe ten...
'I denied to her I was having an affair when things were going on.
'I feel like I am getting to know Em more and more every day. I love her to death but our relationship hasn't always been great, because of me.'
But he promised to put the past behind him and added: 'I want to do the right thing now for the kids and Emma.
'It's the best thing in the world having kids. I feel blessed and I am really sorry that I have done this to them and to Emma.'
The pair have since been spotted looking loved up and happy out and about near their family home.
A representative for the star so far hasn't responded to requests for confirmation from the Mail Online.
